Recently, my group of friends went through a tear. Two friends parted ways and everyone else was left to choose sides and argue about who was right and who was wrong. It was ugly!
A real friend's job is not to choose sides, but to be honest. If you ever find yourself in a position where something in front of you is about to divide, rather than pick a side, why not take the higher road and point out the value of staying united? That's the only way to mend a tear in a relationship.
My aunt used to say that teeth and tongues fall out, but we try to keep them around as long as we can. Don't discard a friendship because of petty disagreements.
