Tribute to Joyce Sterling Scarbrough

One of my diva sisters, Joyce Scarbrough, better known to us as Blue Diva, has been on my mind quite a bit. Why?

Joyce is one of those kind of people who keep her issues inside while always coming with a kind and encouraging word for others. She has strong shoulders and is a die-hard friend. She's honest and she has the strength of character to stand up for what she believes in even if no one else agrees.

I see her on Facebook daily. She's faithful to her Mobile writer's group. She's responsive to her fans and readers. She's wonderful at marketing her books (TRUE BLUE FOREVER; DIFFERENT ROADS; SYMMETRY) without coming across as pushy or overbearing. She never asks for anything but is always giving.

She writes. She bowls. She organizes. She supports her husband in his career and sports. She supports her children in their endeavors. She's an all around champ and if she ran for president next term, she'd have my vote. I love you, Joyce Sterling Scarbrough!

Thanks, Debbie! I love you too, and offer this as proof to all those naysayers who don't think online friends are "real" friends. And you never fail to brighten my day when I see your beautiful smile on Facebook! Bless you and your family!

She writes very well also. Yes, she is a very good online fiend. Only in Jay's group is fiend a good thing.

I so agree with you on your take on Joyce, Debbie. I got acquainted with her on a group called Jay's Writers World, and she is always supportive of the other members, plus she is a load of fun. Thanks for spreading the good news about a fine friend. And yes, the Internet brings so many wonderful new friends, it's unbelievable.

Joyce's writing delves into the complexities of human nature with much skill and finesse. Her approach to writing is keen and sensitive; the hallmarks of a great writer. The many roles portrayed shows how Joyce shines as a professional juggling all the roles women must wear. And she never wears out the charm! Jane Jones from Mike's Writing Workshop (Yahoo).
